All teams will play on the pitches they have played on this season. The cost for the pitches will remain the same for the new season.

3. Open Forum

3.1 Mr Reeves pointed out that the new goal posts are heavy, and asked where they will be stored. The Clerk said she is hoping they will be sited by the end of this week, as we are waiting for help from Landscape Services. Cllr Keeley suggested the cross bars could be kept in the All Weather Pitch on a temporary basis until a more permanent arrangement can be made. The Clerk would also check that our footballers are covered by our public liability insurance.
Mr Reeves asked if some tiles could be replaced in the showers, and also if the away team showers could have a proper clean. The Clerk will inspect the changing rooms and will then e-mail Mr Reeves with a reply to all of his concerns.
3.2 Mr Langridge asked if this was the meeting at which to discuss parking. Cllr Keeley said it was not the appropriate meeting,
3.3 Snodland Workings Men’s Club have requested to play two friendly matches on the 12 th and 19 th August. This will be alright and the Clerk will book them in.
3.4 The changing rooms will be handed back to the Community Association, when the new building is up. We hope this will be soon, and we have a meeting with Smurfit next week to discuss this.

4. Declaration of Interest

Cllr Mrs Crook is Chairperson of the Community Association

5. Any other items which the Chairman has decided are urgent owing to special Circumstances

5.1 A meeting will take place on Friday of this week with Lafarge to discuss Holborough Park . Cllr Atkins expressed concerns regarding work specified in the Section 106 agreement that had not been carried out e.g. footpaths, cycle ways and signage. A path connecting the park to the new development needs to be done. Cllr Block said that we need to think about disabled access. Cllr Keeley asked if Cllr Atkins would lead at the meeting on Friday as he had the historical knowledge, to which he agreed. Cllr Garlick was keen to look at the possibility of the old bowls green being.
5.2 Used as allotments. Lafarge were concerned about the policing situation, and to date we still have no PCSO’s. The Clerk will try to obtain a copy of the final section 106 agreement (June) from Kent County Council, and will copy the side letter to all councillors.
5.3 Cllr Tucker has prepared a survey to go out with Town Talk regarding public transport. It was agreed this should go ahead. Cllr Atkins felt a parking survey would be more useful. Cllr Keeley said we would not wish to duplicate what the Borough Council are doing in October/November with regard to a parking survey.
5.4 The Devonshire Rooms Pre-school are applying to Kent County Council for a grant to improve the front garden for their use at the Town Hall. All agreed this was a good idea.
5.5 Cllr Atkins has concerns regarding a document about the Snodland Partnership, to be discussed at a Borough Council meeting next week. There is no mention of the Section 106, where it states that Lafarge will contribute £25,000.00 per annum for ten years – conditional match funding from local authorities. Cllr Keeley will raise these points at the Borough Council meeting.
5.6 The rate’s evaluation for the Cemetery needs to be considered. Do we accept the reduced of £4000.00 per annum, or do we go to appeal?
RECOMMENDED we accept the reduced rate of £4000.00.
5.7 We have received a letter from Linda Hammond who along with her brother would like to organise a memorial cricket match in memory of their father Jack Hammond, and this would also coincide with the 60 th anniversary of the Snodland Community Cricket Club. The Clerk will reply that this will be free of charge, and all they need do is liaise with the Cricket Club.

There being no other business the meeting closed at 8.25 pm.
