Cllr Garlick announced that there would be a Part II to the meeting due to information received.

1. Apologies for Absence

Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs D Brown, Mrs D Crook, C Grayhurst and Mrs K Grayhurst.

2. Matters arising from the minutes of the meeting held on 16 April 2007

The minutes are a correct record of the meeting.

3. Open Forum

3.1 Mr Gunning and Miss Woolfe wished to discuss Items 6, 9 and 13.
Item 6 – Hooks Sportsground – Mr Woolfe said that the Mill should be signing contacts in the near future.
Item 9 – Miss Woolfe asked when the gym would be re-housed. The Clerk explained that a delay in the chain of events made it impossible at this stage to say when this would happen, however we hope that it will be sooner rather than later.
Item 13 – the car park at the rear of the Town Hall – Mr Gunning and Miss Woolfe are not happy that the Council have cleared some vegetation and placed a gravel/hard standing covered in bark, which can be used as car parking if needed. The Clerk said to the best of her knowledge this land belongs to the Council and the Council were unaware that planning permission would be required to do this.

4. Declaration of Interest

Cllr Miss Moloney is on the Area 3 Planning Committee at the Borough.
Cllr King – Item 5.2.20 – he works for these people.

A number of decision notices had been received and are in the Office for perusal.

5.2.10 TM/07/01370 - 2 Edgeler Court – First floor extension above existing garage - No objection
5.2.11 TM/07/01423 - 57 Godden Road – Two storey side extension with additional provision for off street parking – No objection in principle, however STC have concerns regarding parking in front of street door
5.2.12 TM/07/01446 - 131 Birling Road – Terrace of four new dwellings – No objection
5.2.13 TM/07/01468 - The Vicarage St Katherine’s Lane – Remove dead, dying and suspect branches and remove lower branch over drive by 0.5- 0.75m of 1 no. Scots Pine covered by Tree Preservation Order Snodland No.1 1975 (ref. 12-19-02) – No objection

5.2.22 TM/07/01761 - 4 Freelands Road – Move existing fence line nearer to boundary - No objection
5.2.23 TM/07/01830 - Phase 2 Former Holborough Quarry – Revised details of fencing a paving for Phase Two submitted pursuant to conditions 2 and 11 of permission 01/2746 – Noted

6. Hooks Sportsground

Mr Gunning had informed the Committee that the contracts should be signed this week.

7. Mineral Plan Review

No update.

8. Kingfisher Lakes/Holborough

There is no possibility in the Town Council gaining the lakes, therefore this item will be removed from the agenda.

9. Extension at Potyns

The Clerk and a working party from the Council are to attend a meeting at TMBC tomorrow, and will report back to the next meeting.

10. Snodland Riverside Project

The Clerk gave a brief resume of the above.
RECOMMENDED to pursue funding for this project.

11. Surplus Land at Catts Alley

We are expecting an update from Robert Beswarick in the near future.

12. Naming of Parks and Streets

12.1 19 Bingley Close – this will now be known as 43 Constitution Hill
12.2 Cllr Miss Moloney has spoken to Jenny Edwards, who has requested that a road be named after Derek Edwards (who passed away recently) and it would be nice if this could lead to ‘Melanie Anne (Road/Drive etc).

13. Car Park – Town Hall

Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council has invited us to submit a planning application regarding the area to the rear of the Town Hall. We have also received an Email from Mouchel Parkman questioning ownership of the land. We need to clarify a planning application regarding the area to the rear of the Town Hall. 14. Any other items which the Chairman has decided are urgent owing to special Circumstances

14.1 Cllr Withey asked how we could stop fishermen at Kingfisher Lakes parking, obstructing residents property. This is not something we as a Town Council can do, and we will put this on the Highways spreadsheet.

The Chairman moved that the press and public be excluded from the remainder of the meeting because of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted
